Katharine Batchelor

Associate

“Preparation shows up long before anyone steps into a courtroom.”

About Katharine

Careful preparation often determines how a case unfolds. Katharine Batchelor works on employment, civil rights, and consumer matters that depend on disciplined execution and attention to detail.

Her work includes supporting record development, briefing, and coordination in cases where context and accuracy matter as much as legal theory. She brings a strong foundation in appellate advocacy and public interest work to every matter she supports. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star.

Katharine earned her law degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review and Executive Director of the Public Interest Law Organization.

Before joining Lee Segui, Katharine clerked for the Honorable Darren Jackson on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and worked with public defender offices in Texas and North Carolina.

In addition to work, Katharine is actively involved with her church and in the local community, serving on the board of Refugee Hope Partners, a nonprofit that provides wraparound support to refugee families after resettlement, and volunteering with a variety of organizations. She is a big fan of the many greenways and trails around Raleigh, enjoys sports of all kinds (watching and playing), and firmly believes that the Carolina Panthers will win a Super Bowl one day.
